ABOUT ME
Hello.
My name is Mariana Ruiz de Medina (also know as Marion Compton in the SCA). I have been playing with the SCA in the wonderful kingdom of Atlantia since September 2018. I live in the barony of Ponte Alto. I am in the process of developing a new persona that is 15th Century Castilian. I am apprenticed to Magistra Beatriz Aluares de la Oya, and as such a member of the Free Company of Saint Lawrence and Clan Oldcastle.
My interests in the SCA include medieval Spain, blackwork embroidery, archery, and anything/everything food-related. In my mundane life, I work in high-end food retail and food and feeding people is my absolute passion. My pie in the sky SCA dream is to someday have a fully period garden and to learn period animal training.
My non-SCAdian boyfriend Evan, and our cats Booger, Kiki, and Demetri all make appearances regularly in my work and when I'm not working and SCA-ing, they're my whole life.
